As the days go by, more and more information about Skerrit's good buddy Ng Lap Seng, alias David Ng alias Mr. Wu, is being revealed for the world to see. MITC has laid its hands on a private and confidential investigative report on Ng commissioned by billionaire Sheldon Adelson's Las Vegas Sands casino and the stuff they've dug up on Ng could make a James Bond movie look tame.
Las Vegas Sands has an operation in Macau, Sands China, and obviously, is a competitor of Ng. Sands is currently being sued in Las Vegas Supreme Court for wrongful dismissal by Steven Jacobs, the former president of Sands China. Long story. The thing is, Sands dug up information on Ng and it's the stuff of thriller action movies.
In that report, Ng is described by people in Macau as a "prostitution racketeer", a "criminal-syndicate figure". He is alleged to have substantial connections with criminal and/or prostitution networks in Macau. The report does say that they could not find evidence that ties Ng to any specific criminal activity, so this is just hearsay in Macau, but the old adage "where there's smoke there's a fire" does enter the mind though.
Prostitution Racketeer you ask? Didn't David Hsiu say in an email that he provided "sexual entertainment" in Macau for Skerrit? Ng owns the Fortuna Hotel in Macau, a hotel that "boasts a 20,000 sq.ft. nightclub which, according to the broshure, offers attractive and attentive hostesses from China, Korea, Singapore, Malaysia, Vietnam, Indonesia and Burma together with erotic girls from Europe and Russia certainly offer you an exciting and unforgettable evening with friends or business associates". How many of you want to bet that Skerrit has been in there? Don't worry, that too will emerge at some point.
