Prime Minister Roosevelt Skerrit delivered a eulogy at the memorial service for Cuba's revolutionary leader Fidel Castro on Tuesday, November 29th in Havana's Plaza de la Revolucion. Mr. Skerrit praised the fallen Cuban leader, listing the many instances Mr. Castro came to the assistance of the oppressed around the world, particularly in Africa. Mr. Skerrit's speech was concise and well delivered. Dominica has benefited greatly from Cuba and we would like take this opportunity to congratulate Mr. Skerrit on his eulogy and for representing us because we believe that it was important for us to be represented at this moment in history; we only wished you and your corrupt government looked after us, your people, the way Fidel looked after us.
