PERMANENT SECRETARY HAROLD GUISTE GIVEN WALKING PAPERS

Mass In The Cemetery has been reliably informed that the Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Agriculture, Harold Guiste has been asked to take leave with immediate effect. From all accounts Guiste was given his walking papers.

What we are hearing is that Guiste and his flunkies, particularly slick Rickie have been trying to conduct business as usual and the World Bank officials are having none of their political shenanigans-the lying, grabbing, partisan oriented approach.

According to reliable sources the World Bank provided $7 Million for immediate relief and support to Dominica’s agricultural sector. The World Bank officials on the ground are being frustrated and more so baffled that in a time of crisis government or rather Labor Party harks are playing larky and are stonewalling the  plans and programs that have been put in place to help with the recovery.

Harold Guiste
Agriculture is all that we got to get back on the road and the highest level of urgency and professionalism must come from the Ministry of Agriculture. The upper level managers at the ministry must get on board with the program of honest and meaningful nation building- none of this self-serving, Labor Party perpetual electioneering tactics. But then again that’s how these guys were trained; the continuous vote buying schemes is what was demanded of them by the Dominica Labor Party operatives. The crass partisan behavior is what got them their seat at the head table.

We understand that Kerwin Stevenson has now replaced Harold Guiste as Permanent Secretary. We hope that he will bring some semblance of change to the Ministry of Agriculture. There is no place for corruption and incompetence when Dominica is in such a precarious position.

A short Note to Mr. Kerwin Stevenson

Sir
MiTC would like to wish you success as you take up the responsibility of leading the Ministry of Agriculture however we want to inform you that there is a serious matter that needs to be addressed at the Ministry Of Agriculture. Sir we are allowing you two days to make a serious decision regarding the shameful looting that was conducted by upper level officers within your ministry – we have the story entitled The Chain Saw Massacre “and it is just a push button away.
