In Defense of Brian Linton

Dominica, we ask people to take a stand, we demand action, yet when there is action, we crucify the ones who've acted. This rush to crucify Brian Linton for venting out of frustration is pathetic. How many of us have found ourselves in situations where it is clear that our time is being wasted? Let he who is without sin cast the first stone.

Brian Linton has clearly explained what transpired. Surely he is aware that he could have done things differently, but so could the office personnel. Why is there this need to crucify Brian for doing something each and everyone would do as well, given the circumstances? A number of persons who are scolding Brian are the same ones who are calling for action. Now that you've seen action in action, you're complaining? Do you know what you really want?

How many times have we been subjected to these instances of victimization and brutality? In parliament, we have a speaker who uses maneuvers to frustrate legitimate debate on pressing issues. We have a government who punishes our fellow citizens if they only suspect you do not support them, evidence unnecessary. All Shall Eat is a hollow slogan. How many times must we turn the other cheek before we decide enough is enough?

We at Mas In The Cemetery stand in full support of Brian Linton. Sir, maybe we would have done things differently, but we are in no position to judge your actions based on the circumstances you were confronted with. You were boisterous but not insulting. You voiced your concerns, albeit more vocal than we would have. But that's besides the point. We recognize that you were facing an adversary who is an appeaser, a facilitator of the corruption we face in our country. Evidence of their willingness to do anything to achieve their objectives abound. There is no doubt in our minds that had you not been so adamant, they would have continued to frustrate you. In circumstances such as those, you, we, must shock and while they sit in awe.

  1. Personally I don't see that Brian Linton did anything wrong.
If Apple can get in truck loads of coins....
What did Brian say that was wrong or untrue? I see more aggression in bus stops and banks...
All this cry to crucify Brian, is nothing but a power trip.
