Another Secret Diplomat

Revelations that St. Kitts & Nevis (SKN) Opposition Leader Dr. Denzil Douglas may be a dual citizen and the holder of a Dominica Diplomatic Passport is causing a major stir in the twin island state. According to Times Caribbean (www.timescaribbeanonline.com), the opposition St. Kitts Labour Party has called an emergency meeting to deal with the issue which, if proven to be correct, would be in contravention to the country's Constitution.

According to Times Caribbean, the bombshell announcement that Dr. Douglas was a dual citizen was made by the country's Prime Minister, Dr. Timothy Harris at a press conference. Dr. Harris apparently did not identify the other country but it wasn't long after a cellphone photograph depicting what appears to be the image of Dr. Douglas' diplomatic passport began making the rounds on social media. It is clear from the photograph that the passport, No. DP0000462, was that of Dominica.

Roosevelt Skerrit and Denzil Douglas are close friends, Labourites of the same ilk. Both have proven to be corrupt and it appears to us that Skerrit has given Douglas a means to continue enjoy the perks afforded diplomats now that Douglas was unceremoniously booted out of office in St. Kitts. What's in it for Skerrit? Did Douglas pay for that passport? The SKN Labour Party needs to dig into this thoroughly.
